In May 2026, the 6th Sensory Evaluation of Beer was held, attracting 11 breweries with 42 beer samples representing various styles. Members of the Association of Slovenian Breweries at the Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) also successfully participated in the evaluation.

The members of the GZS – Association of Slovenian Breweries that have been awarded the “Beer of Excellent Quality 2026” mark are:

• Byra d.o.o. – Reservoir Dogs for the following beers: Single Blondie, Kromberger Helles, Warrior and Starvation;
• Green Gold d.o.o. for the following beers: Cashmere NEIPA, Franci, Smooth Criminal, Berry Club and Hypersonic Booster;
• Maister d.o.o. for the beer General Maister;
• MSOS s.p., PE Pivovarna Zajc for the beer Florjan;
• Pivovarna Laško Union d.o.o. for the following beers: Union, Laško Zlatorog and Laško Golding;
• Reset pivovarna d.o.o. for the following beers: Froggy, Extra, Nook, Radler Exotic and Zero Hero; and
• Tovarna pivovarna d.o.o. – Tektonik for the following beers: Tektonik Normal, Tektonik Murky, Tektonik Nula, Tektonik Čehur and Tektonik Red Eye Rabbit.

Sensory evaluation is particularly important for expanding the range of high-quality beers available and promoting the brewing sector as a whole in Slovenia.
